Bio

Takoma Park's Bill Crandall (ex-guitarist for Dot Dash, Adam West, Modest Proposal) is a unique singer-songwriter, creating an expressive, melodic, atmospheric mix in his original material that he calls "future-folk" - songs that face forward, not back, to help us imagine the future.

His 2016 solo debut New World Voyage is a full-production concept album, a kind of art project that combines Bill's original music and photography to evoke the story of the first people to leave Earth forever for another planet. WAMU’s Ally Schweitzer called it “guitar pop for the Mars generation”.

In a live setting Bill performs the material as stripped-down solo acoustic, including songs from his latest work he calls “love songs for the end of the world”.

Most recently, Bill has been playing in unconventional venues and formats: a classical music house concert, a collaboration with a poet, various open mics across Paris (including on a canal barge and in a cafe open mic with no mic), and a park in Montmartre behind Sacre-Coeur.
